I admit, I was skeptical. I have one expensive electric fondue, but wanted another small one just for chocolate. For the price and a party pending, I decided to chance this one. Everyone thought it was the best thing ever.
You heat the chocolate first and this just keeps it warm. I found we had to keep about a bar's worth in there or it would start to burn to the bottom, but if we kept about 8oz in it and stirred it every 15 minutes or so, it was fine. Much, much better than the chocolate fountain mess that uses 4 pounds of chocolate and then jams!
